Our vision is a world where every child grows up in a safe and caring family. Sharing practitioner knowledge and strengthening practice is the cornerstone to making this a reality.

What is How We Care?

How We Care is an initiative for those working with children and families across the world, to help them to learn from other practitioners. Family for Every Child’s Members work in diverse regions and contexts globally. On these pages we will showcase a variety of their practice, in order to generate learning and exchange across the Alliance and beyond.

Explore the Series

Below you will find themed packages of material based on our Members’ work. For each theme we will showcase a range of the models of practice and tools that Members use in their work with children and families, through multimedia formats. You will be able to read about, listen to discussion on, and watch videos explaining the steps our Members have taken to develop their practice. You will also learn about how they implement it, and considerations for adapting it to other contexts. You will be provided with clear and practical takeaways. Materials are available in English and Spanish. Each Series will be complemented with a live online event enabling direct exchange and learning for practitioners.

Practitioner Guidance Papers

Our Practitioner Guidance Papers currently focus upon issues facing practitioners in the context of COVID-19. In these papers we showcase a variety of practice via theme from local civil society organisations (CSOs), globally, and share guidance and practical tips for developing that practice in different contexts.
